I Disappeared for Two Weeks… and Honestly, Life Got Heavy

I haven’t posted since April 27th. And honestly?

Life just got heavy for a while.

Between:

  • work
  • kids
  • finals week for my MBA
  • baseball games
  • dance recitals
  • gymnastics competition
  • trying to keep up with the house
  • and just mentally feeling exhausted…

something had to give.

And for a couple weeks, it was this.

This is Usually the Part Where People Quit

Not just with content. With everything.

Weight loss.

Goals.

Routines.

Healthy habits.

Because once consistency breaks, it’s really easy to start thinking: “Well…. I already fell off.”

Old Me Would’ve Done Exactly That

I would’ve disappeared longer.

I would’ve waited until:

  • everything felt organized again
  • I had motivation again
  • I could “start fresh”

But real life doesn’t work like that. There is no perfect reset moment.

So Here I Am

Not perfectly back on track.

Not fully caught up.

Not magically motivated.

Just…. showing up again. And honestly, I think that matters more.

Because Consistency Isn’t What People Think It Is

Consistency isn’t:

  • never missing a day
  • always being motivated
  • perfectly sticking to a routine

It’s:

  • Coming back without turning it into a spiral.

That’s the difference.

The Truth About Real-Life Growth

Sometimes progress looks like:

  • workouts
  • meal prep
  • motivation

And sometimes?

It looks like:

  • surviving finals week
  • keeping everyone alive
  • barely touching the laundry
  • and still deciding not to quit on yourself

That Still Counts

That’s the part I’m learning.

Not every season is going to look productive or polished.

But that doesn’t mean you failed.

So This is Me Showing Up Again

Not because everything is together.

But because I’m done waiting for perfect timing to continue.

Final Thought

You don’t need to restart.

You just need to come back.

Even if it’s messy.

Even if it took longer than you planned.

Just come back.
